(2) Varanasi- Spiritual capital of India

Varanasi is a city in Uttar Pradesh Regarded as the spiritual capital of India, the city draws pilgrims who bathe in the River Ganges’ sacred waters and perform funeral rites. Along with its winding streets are some 2,000 temples, including Kashi Vishwanath, the “Golden Temple,” dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva.
Among the seven sacred cities, Varanasi remains the holiest, a real pride of India.

(3) IT Hub of North India 

Uttar Pradesh is the ‘IT-Hub’ of North India, with a share of software exports. The government has started to work on its pre-poll promise to promote the information technology (IT) sector in the state, with Uttar Pradesh mulling a 100-acre ‘IT City’ in Lucknow.  IT enterprises like NOIDA, Greater NOIDA, Ghaziabad etc., which lie in National Capital Region (NCR), and in state capital Lucknow are worldwide famous.

(4) TAJMAHAL- Wonder of the World

Taj Mahal is one of the famous enduring monument of India. It is a white marble memorial located on the southern bank of the Yamuna River in the Indian city of Agra (UTTAR PRADESH). It was commissioned in 1632 by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan (reigned 1628–1658) to house the tomb of his favourite wife of three, Mumtaz Mahal. The Taj Mahal is regarded by many as the best example of Mughal architecture and is widely recognised as “the jewel of Muslim art in India”. It is one of the world’s most celebrated structures and a symbol of India’s rich history. Designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1983, the Taj Mahal attracts some 3 million visitors a year. On 7 July 2007, it was declared one of the Seven winners of New7Wonders of the World (2000–2007) initiative in Lisbon.

(5) The Parijat Tree

The Parijaat tree is a sacred baobab tree in the village of Kintoor, near Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh, India, for which there are several legends.

39 km away from Lucknow, stands the parijat tree, which is supposed to be the only one of its kind in the world. It is known for its flower, which changes colour during the day. Legend has it that the parijat plant was brought down from heaven by Lord Krishna for his second wife, Satyabhama.
